Musings on existence p1

One microblog a day here we go!

I've set up a very horrid negative incentive system that is forcing me to write a blog post every single day. The incentive kicks in tomorrow but I thought I'd get warmed up today.

Today was the last "serious" exam for this semester. I'm disappointed that the controls exam would be so dry; I guess it can't be helped if you don't have access to a computer. A MATLAB based practical-ish exam would've been so so fun. But then again we live in modern times so not really.

I should've studied more for it (haha big surprise). Having practiced Nyquist plots would've given me a solid chance at an A-. Oh well, there's always next semester to lock in for real!

I've been trying out this "SuperProductivity" open source app. I like the idea of it I suppose. It's nothing innovative but that doesn't mean it can't have a purpose. I'm trying to limit how much I force myself to use it, make sure that I don't start procrastinating using the anti-procrastinating app.

This summer I'll try to pull out all the stops in trying to make myself Productive once and for all. The negative incentives thing is going to keep running, I'll try to get my mom to keep an eye on me as much as possible, and I'll try all sorts of productivity apps and books and stuff. Assuming I don't procrastinate.

I will try to hold off starting to read Shadow Slave and watch anime until I have more safeguards in place. Reading through old coursework should be engaging enough for now, especially given exams just ended and I'm at peak motivation levels.

Thanks for reading bye!!
